About PermaJet
PermaJet began life as Nova Darkroom manufacturing thier unique Nova Slot Processor, renowned for making life easier for darkroom enthusiasts. With the advent of digital printing PermaJet introduced Europe’s first Continuous Inkflow Sytem, an innovation that allowed users to bypass ink cartrdiges and use high quality inks at a lower cost. Over the past 25 years PermaJet has grown from a range of 3 papers (Oyster 271, Gloss 271, Matt Plus 240) to a range of over 34 Digital Photo and Fine Art Papers, 6 Canvases and 8 types of DryLab rolls (and counting!). PermaJet papers are sold across the world into 26 different countries and users of their papers and canvases range from amateur enthusiasts to professional Fine Art reproduction labs.
In this blog we will explore each of the PermaJet Digital Photo and Fine Art paper ranges, understanding the differences between each one and which might be best suited to your photography or artwork. More importantly you’ll find links to each of the PermaJet Test Packs, a brilliant way to sample the PermaJet range. Each Test Pack contain 2 x A4 Sheets of each paper within the specified range. As an added benefit, the papers are each individually labelled for easy reference and Generic ICC Profiles are availble on the PermaJet website, or PermaJet will create Custom ICC Profiles free of charge.
PermaJet Digital Photo Range
PermaJet’s Digital Photo Range is a comprehensive collection of inkjet papers designed to meet the diverse needs of photographers and imaging professionals. The range offers the most economical way to use PermaJet papers as all the papers within the range are made from an Alpha Cellulose base.
The range is fully compatible with any inkjet paper using both dye and pigment based ink with a wide variety of surfaces to choose from including, high gloss, lustre, satin, pearl and matt as well as creative options if you are looking to experiment with print. As an added benefit the papers within this range offer instant dry technology.
The “bright white” paper base materials are coated to give a wide colour gamut and exceptionally high DMAX.
