Getting your colours right on screen is difficult enough, but then you press the print button and have to start all over again. Sounds familiar? There are many commercial solutions available: some are expensive, some are complex to use - and some are both expensive and complex! The Roger Maile Digital Photo Art Print Tuner makes a refreshing change: simple to use, effective and inexpensive to buy. It is not rocket science. The digital files contained on the CD enable you to identify the discrepancy between printed output and your monitor display: not just the colour balance, but also such variables as brightness, contrast and saturation. Once you have identified these differences, you simply save the completed file, make the adjustments and print - you can even save the adjustments as Actions to make your changes with a single keystroke. The principle is the same as the colour ring around photographers use in the darkroom. And you work with real images rather than patches of grey or colour swatches.
Please note this program is designed to work only in the full edition of Adobe Photoshop and will not work with Adobe Photoshop Elements.
